David J. Ndegwah's site
David J. Ndegwah is a Senior Lecturer at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, and former Coordinator of the East African Community Integration Institute (EACII) within the University. He holds an interdisciplinary PhD from Radboud University Nijmegen (Netherlands) on anthropology, theology and philosophy. He also holds an MA Degree in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) as well as BPh and BTh from Urbanian Pontifical University (Rome). His research interests focus on the religious and philosophical dimensions of development in Africa. He tries to identify the cultural-religious values in Africa that hinder or promote entrepreneurship in the quest for development and how these can be successfully embedded in modern planning for participatory development, through technology transfer without reinventing the wheel. He has authored several articles, among them ‘Culture and value trade-offs for successful entrepreneurship in Africa’ (2017), ‘Tropical Greenhouses: A Great Opportunity for Small Farmers Drivers and barriers for agricultural innovation (2017)’, ‘Economically feasible, but not financially sound? ‘The end of neo-liberalism and the start of Doing Business (2017) and ‘Capacities, Development and Responsible Innovation (2015)’
